From Friday to Saturday, there were 176 new Corona infections in Austria. Compared to the previous week (136), the figure is 40 cases higher. Thus, the 7-day incidence increases slightly and is now 8.39. Since the number of recovered is 187, at least the number of active cases has decreased to 2,255.
In addition, there are two new deaths associated with Covid-19 infection. However, since there has also been a data cleanup at the same time, there is one fewer death overall.
In the past 24 hours, 66,800 PCR tests have been performed, bringing the positive rate to 0.26.
112,713 vaccinations have been performed against the Corona virus across Austria on Friday. In total, more than 4.6 million Austrians have already received at least one partial vaccination, according to E-vaccination passport data. This corresponds to 51.9 percent of the population. More than 2.8 million, or 31.9 percent, are already fully immunized.
The province with the highest seven-day incidence is currently Vienna with 17.3, followed by Burgenland, Vorarlberg and Lower Austria (12.2, 9.3 and 8, respectively). It is further followed by Upper Austria (6.9), Tyrol (5.3), Carinthia (4.6), Salzburg (3.2) and Styria (1.8).
